Join Oprah and I

So I've done it, I've pledge to make my car a no phone zone!
You can join too by visiting Oprah's website.
There are a few different options that you can pledge.
Considering I do most of my work in my car, I've pledged to only use my hands free set, if I MUST talk. But I'm going to really only use this for long car rides.
So if I don't answer my phone, you can now probably assume I am either driving, or my kids are screaming too loud for me to hear my phone ring!

Make sure to take the pledge too to make our roads a safer place!

Gardening 101

The kids and I planted our garden today, only to then realize we may have jumped the gun, about 4 weeks! So later on today I covered all of our plants in hopes that we can prevent them from frezzing. So lesson 1, taught and learned-don't plant in the ground until mid to end of May!
I've never had my own garden before, so this is a new adventure. Growing up we had a HUGE garden. I remember planting the seeds, weeding the garden, picking the veggies and fruits, and even help in doing the canning.
Now that I have my own home and kids, I want my kids to know what a garden is and to help with it. We don't have a big area to work with, but we have enough for us to get our hands dirty and try to learn a new skill!
Sophia and Nick LOVED working in the garden. They were begging me all morning to go work in the garden! Sophia helped water and Nick helped me dig in the dirt. They were both awesome helpers. Jack watched from his new swing.
Here are some pictures of us working in our garden!

Camera Shy

Jack has been rolling around like crazy these days! The other day when I was doing my hair, he was rolling all over my bedroom, almost making it out the bedroom door! I knew I need to grab my camera and get him rolling so fast on film. So I grabbed the camera, and of course he didn't want to do anything but look super cute then. So even though he's not rolling, here is he is just looking as cute as ever!

Big Sisters are the BEST!

Sophia is such a great big sister. She is seriously so cute with Jack. She helps me with him so much! She really has matured over the last little while. She not only is a big helper with Jack, but she also shares with Nick so good. She gives Nick all her candy and anything else he wants. Sometimes I have to tell her that she doesn't have to give him everything! She knows what makes Mommy happy, and now tells me that sharing, listening and helping is showing Me that she loves Me! How cute is that? I love having Sophia as my daughter. She has taught me so much in the last five years-more than I could ever imagine! I never realized having a girl was going to be so much work. I really thought having a girl was going to be all cupcakes and bows! Little did I know that only last the first year! I'm sure she and I will have a great future together! It makes me laugh to think of how it's going to be in the next 10 years and beyond! Sophia is learning how to read now and loves drawing and writing. She is so smart! Here is a cute video of her and her baby brother Jack!

Working in the Yard

On Saturday my parents and my nephew Drake came down to help the kids and I get the yard ready for the summer.
I try to be Super Mom, all the time, but somethings I just have to hand over to someone else, such as mowing and trimming the lawn, fixing sprinkers, starting the sprinklers, fixing shower doors, and resetting outside light timers. Oh, and get a swing set up for baby Jack! Luckily my Dad and Mom know how to do all these things and jumped right in to get them done. Thank you so much Dad and Mom!
While they were here, I worked on my garden area that I'm going to "try" to plant something in this summer. I felt really good about my work! Now it's time to find something to plant!
After the long day in the sun, we all went to eat at Chili's!
It was a great Saturday!

To Daddy

A message to our favorite Daddy!

Jack turns 6 months old!

So I'm a little late in posting these pictures.5 days late to be exact, but wanted to say "Happy Half Birthday" to our baby Jack!
Our little baby is rolling over both ways! He loves to laugh and be entertained by Sophia and Nick. He is such a happy baby! Loves to smile at me, his favorite person!
He has tried rice cereal, bananas, and apples, and really doesn't prefer any of them. He would rather just live off Mommy's Milk, right now.
As far as sleep goes, he hasn't really been a fan ever since he turned 6 months....I used to be able to count on at least two good naps during the day and at least a 6 hour stretch at night, but since he turned 6 months old, he doesn't want to nap or sleep at night. Lets hope this is a very small phase that will pass quickly.
I can't believe I can funtion most days with the little amount of sleep I get. It's a blessing for sure that I can do it!
We took Jack to his 6 month doctor well baby check up today, yup, me with three kids in tow! He checked out perfect! He is in the 25%-50% for weight and height and his head in in the 75%! He is up to date with his immunizations as well. He cried for only a minute- he is a very strong little guy!
We love you Jack!

Happy Earth Day!

Yesterday was the 30th Earth Day celebration!
The kids and I were trying to think all day of something fun we could do to celebrate the Earth. Sophia saw a plastic cup outside on our lawn and declared that she was going to "clean up" the plastic cup to take care of the Earth! I thought that was pretty cute! Later in the day I saw on Facebook that The Sweet Tooth Fairy made special Earth Day cupcakes. That was all I needed to hear to know exactly what we were going to do to celebrate Earth Day- So off to The Sweet Tooth Fairy we went!
I was really excited to try this place out. I have heard so much about it. Here in Utah there are so many of these cute little dessert shops popping up, and I'm more than happy to try each one of them! The Sweet Tooth Fairy has a super cute atmosphere, and every single cupcake looked amazing! Along with lots of different kids of cupcakes, they had cookies, suckers, drinks and cute yummy squares of heaven that they call Cake Bites! The Earth Day cupcake tasted okay, but the Cake Bites were amazing! I will definitely go back for more Cake Bites again! Nick and I chose the Earth Day cupcakes of course, but Sophia chose the red velvet cupcake. Sophia only ate the frosting, which shouldn't have surprised me, that is all she ever eats! Kind of an expensive frosting treat, I'd say. Next time I think I will just buy her a frosting shot (yes, they had these too)!
It was fun taking the kids out for a cupcake treat to celebrate Earth Day
Here are some pictures of us celebrating!

What Would You Do?

Okay, so in a few short months or less we'll be moving to Arizona.
We will be renting out our home here in Utah while we are gone. We will miss our new home, having been here for only a year now. It's going to be sad and hard in many ways, but being with my kids and husband, no matter where we are, is most important.
I'm excited for the adventure of moving! I've only lived outside of the bubble once, for four months, when I lived in China. I LOVE the bubble, but I'm excited to experience life outside. I've heard it's a whole new world!
Before we go, I want to take advantage of Utah as much as I can.
Soooo, what activities, and places in Utah do you recommend me and the kiddies going before we leave?

Major Manic Monday!

Monday's are so crazy for us.
Today was especially crazy. Here is how our day went:
7:00am- woke up to Nick needing food..."my belly hurts Mommy!!!"
As quickly as I could I got Nick his bowl of Fruit Loops and then jumped in the shower.
8:00am- out of shower, now getting Sophia's bowl of cereal, and Nick's second bowl of cereal and feeding Jack his all time favorite, Mommy's Milk.
9:00am- get dressed, and get three kids dressed.
10:00- leave the house to the post office, then to the doctors for Jack's 6 month well baby check.
11:00- Jack's appointment went great, besides the two shots he got...he only cried for about 30 seconds though, so it went better than expected. He is in the 25% for weight and height, his head is in the 75%.
12:00-12:30- Lunch on the go...whipped through Taco Time drive thru for the kids then Kneeders drive thru for me.
12:30-3:00- Dropped Sophia off to preschool while I ran home to feed Jack, then Nick Jack and I went grocery shopping, and back home to put groceries away.
3:00- Pick Sophia up from school and take her straight to dance class. While Sophia was in dance class the boys and I went to pay for Sophia's gymnastics class, grabbed a brown topper and free kiddie cone, and picked up the mail.
4:00- Pick Sophia up from Dance and head home to feed Jack and to relax.
4:30- Relax lasted only 30 minutes. Kids insisted on going to the park.
4:30-6:00- Played at the park and visited with one of my amazing neighbors, whom I'm extreamly blessed to have!
6:00- Dinner
7:00- Bath
7:30-9:00pm- Movie then bedtime

Now it's 10:57pm and I'm wondering what the heck am I doing awake! Good Night!

What are Your Sunday's Like?

So today is Sunday. One of the most challenging days of the week.
We have church at 1pm, and it's 3 hours long. You'd think we'd be able to make it on time, but nope, we're usually late. We've been so late the last couple weeks that we have to sit in the very back, on the hard chairs...something I usually hate doing. Surprisingly, the kids seem to do much better all the way in the back, where total chaos usually is allowed, and people really don't notice if your kids are fighting, screaming or jumping all over the place. I'm now thinking of making the back of the church our new home during sacrament-less stress=happy me!
My calling in church is Nursery Singing Lady...not sure the exact title of the calling, but basically I go to each of the nursery's, our ward having 3, and sing songs with the kids, ages 18 months to 3 years. I pack baby Jack along wtih me to my calling, which I do during the 2nd hour. It's tough packing him with me, and super hard to sing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and the seasonal favorite "Popcorn Popping", with a 6 month old in my arms. Don't tell but I'm secretly hoping they release me from my calling soon...hehehe! I really do love my calling though. The little kids I sing with LOVE singing time, and they are all so cute!
The last hour I get to enjoy with all the other ladies in Relief Society. This is the best hour of the day, where I get to sit with Jack and listen to an awesome lesson!
After church it seems as if Sophia and Nick were feed nothing by refined sugar for the last two hours while they were in their classes. It is a total mess for the rest of the day. They jump around like crazy people, fight, don't listen to a word I say and do everything I've ever taught them not to do....it's crazy! Luckily for me, bedtime comes early every Sunday! The kids are so worn out that they don't even argue when I say "BEDTIME!!!!" Yeah for this time of the day!

My Sunday's lately are anything but what I've always imagined. I am grateful that I do have at least a couple hours during the day where I feel calm and at peace. It is these hours that allow me to make it through another week with three kids in tow!

How calm or crazy are your Sundays?!?!?!

Welcome Family & Friends to My New Family Blog!

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that this is where you'll now be able to find updates on our little family! Since the MR. has a "special" new job, I am going to keep him out of this blog as much as possible. At times you may wonder if a MR. actually does exist, but I promise you he still does and he owns MANY, MANY, MANY Big guns! :)
Since the MR. has been gone now for a little over a month, I have been experiencing being a mom of three little babes in a whole new way. Basically they go everywhere I go.....I have to give myself little pep talks everytime we head out the door, "Stay Calm" "You can do it" "Don't be in a rush" "You can do it!", ya know, things like that...SO GLAD I was a cheerleader in High School, it's totally helped this past month! So here is to a BIG new adventure to all of us!

Please make sure to follow us and leave a comment when you can so I know you've stopped by to say "hi".

Life is great!
